Volunteer
Coach or Assistant Coach: help us teach the children golf and life skills education. As we continue to grow the program, we strive to maintain a small student: teacher ratio to ensure that the children continue to have quality instruction. You do not need to know all about the game of golf, you just need to care about the kids & teens in our communities. We will provide you with all the training needed.
Special Needs: Individuals with special needs often require a 1:1 teacher to student ratio. Our goal is to extend our services to many children, no matter what their challenges may be.
Mentors: First Tee — Delaware has established a mentoring program to match qualified mentors with juniors in the program. The mentors are afforded an opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s life. Golf Tournament: Various positions available to help coordinate junior golf tournaments, as well as, fundraising golf tournaments.
Committee & Board Members: In order to keep our programs thriving, we rely on the many volunteers in our organization to guide us in many directions. There are various opportunities to join one of our committees, Donor & Fundraising, People & Programming and our Governance Committee. Many of those who committed to being a committee member, now serve on our Board of Directors.
We are a non-profit organization that relies heavily on our volunteer resources. By adding a volunteer team of dedicated individuals to our current staff, we can accomplish many of our goals at First Tee — Delaware.
